I'm pleased to be supporting a hyper growth tech start-up who are based in Central London and have experienced steady growth of 30% MoM. Due to rapid expansion they have an awesome opportunity for a Head of Digital Marketing to join the team. This role will have a strong focus within Digital Acquisition.

Reporting to the Senior Leadership team, as Head of Marketing you will have complete responsibility for the ongoing success of Digital Marketing within the business with a strong focus on Acquisition channels such as Facebook, Google, Instagram, App store, Instagram, Twitter etc. There is a team of 2 direct reports and 3rd party agency support which you will own the relationship with.

Being a lean start up, this role will have a varied mix that will cover strategy, team management, agency management, and ad hoc hands on campaigns management. Candidates are required to have a client side background, ideally having worked within a start-up / SME environment.

The business is operating across 2 EU countries currently, however have plans to launch into a number of new markets over the next 12-24 months. Alongside this, budgets will also double in size from c. £100k+ to around £250k-£300k.

Key responsibilities include;
- Develop and execute the marketing strategy for UK and Spain (plus other countries once launched), working with local performance marketing agencies.
- Responsible for performance marketing and driving customer acquisition and growth from all their digital channels, including Facebook, Google, Instagram, App store, Instagram, Twitter etc.
- Drive first time users to the mobile app and website at highly efficient CPIs.
- Create campaigns to engage with cohorts, increase re-orders and retarget inactive customers.
- Manage the performance marketing agency using a data and metric approach.
- Manage internal social media and creative team (2 people currently).
- Ownership of the marketing budget and accountable for performance, reporting regularly with metrics.
- Manage PR and, when appropriate, hire/engage with PR agency.
- Work closely with the Product team to assist in prioritising strategic direction and feature/product priorities, while listening and understanding customers' needs.
- Use data and A/B testing optimisation to improve customer acquisition costs and conversion rates.
- Develop use of influencers to promote the brand.

Background and skills required;
- Proven track record in B2C Performance / Acquisition Marketing in a leadership role, ideally at a tech start up / SME
- Proven leadership experience and ability to successfully manage and grow a team
- Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
- Experience in online marketing channels such as Adwords, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, SEO, ASO, PPC, influencer marketing etc
- Strong analytical skills with Excel and other tools such as Tableau, Mixpanel, Optimizely, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Sendgrid, App Annie
- Drive to succeed within one of the most promising and exciting start-ups in Europe
